Scandinavian design house in Saint-Germain-en-Laye

Scandinavian design makeover for a 150 m² house in Yvelines

The objectives

Located in a pretty town in the Yvelines department, this four-storey house has been given a Scandinavian design makeover. We optimised the ergonomics of the spaces by creating a large amount of custom-made storage space in the entrance hall, with a glass roof separating it from the living room and in the children’s bedrooms.

Our solutions

In terms of style, we opted for simple, functional materials in shades of Nordic blue, white, grey and light wood, combining the house’s original antique features such as the fireplaces and washbasin with more contemporary lines by Scandinavian and Italian designers.

The kitchen has been reworked to combine raw wood fronts and a large white island with black granite, creating an attractive setting for the vintage table and chairs designed by Danish designer Arne Jacobsen.

The stylistic note

A Scandinavian-style home, warm and uncluttered.
