Scandinavian interior design in Saint Germain en Laye

Scandinavian space design and decoration for a 100 m² house in Yvelines

The objectives

Faced with outdated decoration, a real lack of storage space, and partitioned and unbalanced spaces, our mission was to optimise the interior architecture of this house by opening up the rooms while giving each space a new function.

Our solutions

We redesigned the staircase, modernising it with a new metal and wood balustrade and creating bespoke fittings with wardrobes and shelves behind white lacquered doors below.

We used three load-bearing posts between the entrance hall and the living room to create a central structure linking the entrance hall, with its custom-made bookcase, the living room and the kitchen/dining room.

The kitchen has been opened up and designed in a Scandinavian spirit in shades of white, light wood and blue-grey.

In the living room, a vintage bookcase has been placed next to the fireplace, with a small round sofa for reading or relaxing.

The stylistic note

An ensemble of contemporary design and a Scandinavian-inspired colour palette
