Custom-built flat on rue Victor Hugo in Paris XVI

Interior design and decoration for the renovation of a 45 m² rooftop flat in Paris

The objectives

Initially, there were three decrepit chambres de bonnes under the roofs of Paris. Our brief was to combine the space and transform it into a 45 m2 upmarket pied-à-terre for a young couple. The challenge was to optimise every square centimetre to create a real bedroom, bathroom, entrance hall, ergonomic kitchen, dining area and sitting area for entertaining.

Our solutions

Naturally, everything has been designed and made to measure, including the velvet sofa and the small console in the entrance hall, to perfectly match the volumes.

In the bedroom, a dressing area has been designed around the leather headboard, with bedside cabinets on either side.

A practical detail: a sliding door with a mirrored façade and an interior glass roof overlooking the living room make the sleeping area visually lighter.

The marble-clad bathroom has a large shower, a large vanity unit and a laundry area.

On the kitchen side, finished in matt lacquer and black granite, the space has been optimised by using the full height of the wall and even incorporating a wine cellar for the gentleman.

The stylistic note

A refined pied-à-terre with a contemporary feel and Baroque accents
