Scandinavian design makeover for a 150 m2 house in Yvelines
Located in a pretty town in the Yvelines, this house on four levels was revamped in a Scandinavian design spirit. We optimized theergonomics of the spaces by creating numerous custom-made storage units in the entrance hall with a glass roof to separate it from the living room and in the children's bedrooms.
In terms of style, we opted for simple and functional materials in shades of Nordic blue, white, gray and light wood, combining original antique elements of the house such as fireplaces and sinks, and more contemporary lines from Scandinavian and Italian designers.
The kitchen has been reworked by mixing raw wood fronts and a large white island with black granite, creating a nice frame for the vintage table and chairs designed by Danish designer Arne Jacobsen.
