Scandinavian interior design in Saint Germain en Laye

Scandinavian space design and decoration of a 100 m2 house in Yvelines

Faced with an outdated decoration, a real lack of storage space, partitioned and unbalanced spaces, our mission was to optimize the interior architecture of this house by decompartmentalizing the rooms while giving each space a function.

We redesigned the staircase by modernizing it with a new metal and wood railing and creating custom built-ins with closets and shelves behind white lacquered doors below.
We used three load-bearing posts between the entrance and the living room to create a central structure that links the entrance with a custom bookcase, the living room and the kitchen/dining room.
The kitchen has been decompartmentalized and designed in a Scandinavian spirit in tones of white, light wood and blue gray.
On the living room side, a vintage bookcase has found its place next to the fireplace with a small round sofa for reading or relaxing.
